PRIVACY NOTICE

How SHR Construction uses personal information.

Last updated: 18 September 2026

Who we are

SHR CONSTRUCTION LTD (company number 17466775), registered in England and Wales. Registered office: 48 Fieldway Crescent, PO31 8AJ. For privacy enquiries, contact enquiries@shrbuild.co.uk.

Information we may collect

When you contact us or become a customer, we may receive your name, contact details, property or project address, project requirements, correspondence, photographs, plans, quotations, approvals and other information you choose to provide.

Why we use it

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, assess and plan proposed work, prepare quotations, communicate about projects, administer agreed work, keep project and business records, and meet legal or regulatory obligations.

Our lawful bases

Depending on the situation, we process information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, to perform a contract with you, to comply with a legal obligation, or for our legitimate interests in operating, documenting and protecting our construction business and responding to enquiries. We do not use enquiry information for unrelated marketing.

Who we may share information with

Where necessary for your project or our legal and business obligations, information may be shared with relevant subcontractors, professional advisers, surveyors, designers, engineers, suppliers, regulators and the service providers we use to operate our business systems. We only share information where there is a relevant reason to do so.

International processing

Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where this applies, we require the relevant legal safeguards for international transfers to be in place.

How long we keep it

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, including project administration, warranty or dispute handling and applicable legal, accounting and tax requirements. Retention periods therefore vary according to the record and project.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, or to object to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent.

To exercise a data protection right, email enquiries@shrbuild.co.uk. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Complaints

Please contact us first if you have a concern so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
